The Bowling Challenge

My friday night was spent throwing down some mad bowling skills at the REX center. My competitors didn't even know what was coming when I picked my choice 8 pound pink bowling ball. But they knew it was all over when I laced up my shoes and started stretching. Oh did they ever....

But in all reality, Nancy was the main trash talker. She could really make those bowling pins scatter! Her and Greg creamed the other two teams, but my team came in second place, thank you very much! Greg made a poster advertising for this bowling competition and it made me really motivated to come. You've got to read it for yourself:

All in all it was a fun night, and worth the 1..or 2...dates I turned down : )
(Mom, just take a deep breath...it really was worth it.)

Pictures: Greg thought he was pretty funny and took one shoe from everyone and hid them...and then made us play "Bullah bullah" to find them. And here are my teammates...coming in at a close (ish) second!!

Oh and ps my first soccer game is tomorrow. So...Go Vikings!!!

Oh and by the way look how disgusting my roommates are. Keep in mind that one of my roommates and I deep cleaned the kitchen on Monday night. Sooo....yeah.

Gooooooood times.

Okay listen up all you peeps last weekend was fabulous and we had a surprise birthday party for my dad. He be 50 years old!!! My mom did a really great job putting everything together, we had a band and a ton of people came. It was the hit of the half century!!

I also loved seeing my crippled little sister and pushing her around TJ Maxx, Ross, and Petco in her wheelchair. It made me feel validated and like I really can be a special ed. teacher. Just kidding.....

Here are some highlights of the weekend!

Happy Birthday Dad!!!!!!!!!!

Last night we went out to an open gym and played on all of the gymnastics equipment. Most of the people we went with are pretty hard core snowboarders so they were all serious and trying to get their tricks down, but Lydia and I tagged along and had a good time nonetheless, as you can see...
I just did a back flip. I know, cool!!

Yeahhhh

Lets all have a moment of silence for our old trusty friend, the Suburban

(1998-2008)

On this sad day, September 16, 2008, our trusty old Suburban finally threw in the towel and called it quits.

She went up in flames on the way home from school today while Conrad was driving. Eyewitnesses say that the flames engulfed the car while they waited 20 minutes for the fire department to come. Rest in peace old friend!

And so the blogging begins...

In Haley's words, blogs are only interesting if you have a baby. I don't have a baby, but I want to keep my family and friends updated on what's going on in my life. Lets just say this is proof that I am involved in school and am having a great time!

This weekend we went river rafting down the Snake. It was way fun but the water was freezing! There was only one big rapid on this river and our raft completely missed it. (For the record, we did not miss it because of Haley's captaining skills, it was more because no one listened to her commands). Very disappointing. But we still had a great time!

Last night I went to the Hazards and we played Jacks. Nancy is the queen of this game! Haley did pretty well, I did alright, and Courtney was just really bad at it. See??

My roommate and I have a tradition with some friends to take turns baking cakes for eachother. The first one of the semester came last week and it was a beauty! Unfortunantely most of it got wasted because it was too massive to eat. But it sure looked good...

All in all it was a really good first week of school! I love being in Idaho
