First off I need to give my mother some happy news and show everyone this:

The Bishopric is pleased to declare Sadie Hawkins in 13th Ward until November 1st! That means Sisters, this is your chance to ask a Brother in the ward on a date.
Sisters -- Show the brethren how it ought to be done--fun and inexpensive! We challenge EVERY sister in the ward to go on a date with a brother in the ward by November 1st.
Brethren -- Show the sisters how to say "yes" and how to be a fun date.
We hope you'll have lots of fun with this! Paying for these dates is negotiable, but brethren, we encourage you to step up. And everybody please remember -- going on a date is NOT a long-term commitment, it's just a chance to spend a few hours having fun.
One last reminder: A date means 1) planned, 2) paid for, and 3) paired-off. Double and triple dates are perfectly fine. Informal group hanging-out does not count.

Yes, that's right, our Bishopric has asked all of the girls to ask our ward boys out this month. When the 2nd counselor of the bishopric announced it in Relief Society we all seriously thought it was a joke. But yeah....it so isn't. Don't worry, I've already got my date lined up (High School Musical on Friday night, oooh yeah!). Just thought I'd share that....here's to BYU-Idaho!

Anyway...this weekend was pretty fun!!

Friday night Lydia and I went and rented Singing in the Rain and drank hot chocolate while we watched it. We're just living the life......Then on Saturday night I had a date and we went to Guitars Unplugged and it was a way good show, and a fun date. We'll see what happens with that....

Saturday morning I had a soccer game and we totally lost. Oh man it was a rough game, four of our best players weren't there and then two of our other best players got taken out of the game, one with a concussion and the other with a sprained ankle. My roommate tried to get some pictures, but here's what came out...

So...I know it's not that great of a picture but it shows off my soccer legs :) haha

Yes, look at me go!

Sweet action shot here

So in other news........

Colby's here!!!!!! It's so good to see him home and healthy and just the same old colby. Today we gathered around him and sang primary songs as he played the guitar. And even more exciting is that Kaitlin's coming up this week! We're going to have a lot of cousins up here and it's gonna be the BOMB!

It's midterms this week! Wish me luck on all of my exams! Have a good one!!!

It's about time this gets updated....

So, life has been really great lately. I got to go home for conference and help my parents out a little so that they could go out of town. Man what a weekend. I got to Draper on Friday, Kaitlin and I spent our Friday night picking Cubby up at football. When we picked him up the weather was somewhat stormy so we got our entertainment from acting all rushed and panicked and telling Caleb that there was a tornado watch and we had to hurry home and get into our cellar. He was a little doubtful but I think for the most part he trusted his older sisters and was concerned. We even "called" dad to make sure we had enough food storage to last us a two weeks. Haha! It was all ruined when Cub called dad to ask if it was true and of course it wasn't. But we had our fun. Poor little Cubby....

Saturday morning I went to Cub's football game where I sat in the rain and pretty much froze my butt off. But it was still fun and it is always a crack up watching Caleb play. He is so dang cute!!

Cubby playing football on a better day

Hunter was a crazy one that weekend! (Crazy in a good way...ish). He did allll kinds of projects. Something I love about Hunter is that he is sooo smart, and once he gets started on a project there is NOTHING that will get in his way and stop him. A very good quality, I think. He started off by making a dress completely out of recyclable items, such as garbage bags, ziplock bags, ribbon, etc. I was actually really impressed! He used a punching bag as his dummy when Anna Sophia wouldn't cooperate. But it actually turned out really well. All throughout the weekend I would always see Hunt walking around with strange objects...and I found myself saying things like "Where are you going with that ligher?" or "What are you planning on doing with that bar of soap?" One time I even walked in on him making a "hot air balloon" in our entry way using 4 tea candles and a grocery bag. Ummmm that's a little questionable. But yeah, he's a smart kid!!

My roommate and I made quite a creation the other day. We made our friend who gave us the huge poop cake a huge slab of jello with a little surprise in the middle. It ended up falling apart and falling in to my roommate's lap on the way to his apartment. Oh well...he loved it and it was quite delicious.
Remember the poop cake??? New...Jello Blob
Tonight we had our annual 50 lap spirit relay! It was wayyyy fun. Pretty much what it is is every ward is a "team" and we chose a theme and dress up and make noise and have a ton of fun. And while the people in the stands cheer there are people who are "runners" for your ward and ideally each person would run one lap, but in the beginning we only had like seven runners! We recruited more people (me being one of them) so in the end everyone ran about 2 laps (some ran 4 laps, a full mile). We came in 3rd place which is really great considering our circumstances. It was freezing! I guess it snowed today (I didn't witness it) and it's definintely supposed to snow tomorrow and saturday. Ewwww

All of the runners! Go team!

Our faithful supporters!
Cool, well that's what I've got for you. It has been a very eventful week! Tomorrow my mom and Anna Sophia are coming up to see me for Mother's Weekend so that will be a blast. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Check it out....

So today I had a fun wild goose chase through campus...with a special little friend.

I ran into my friend Hans at the Library today. Hans is in a wheelchair and has a service dog and I noticed that she wasn't with him today. When I asked him where Ryce (his dog) was today he explained to me, in a very stressed way, that she was at the vet and that he didn't have anyone to go and pick her up. So I offered to go. Hans said that he'd be in the library and to bring her there after I picked her up.

So I get to the vet and it took like 45 minutes for them to bring Ryce out (apparently there was nothing wrong with her but Hans is SO protective of her...I overheard the vet talking to Hans on the phone saying "ummm...I didn't notice anything unusual in her stool") and then we were on our way!!

So I get to campus and I'm walking around with Ryce in tail (keep in mind that she is not wearing her service dog vest so it looks like I'm just taking my pet on a walk), going through the library with Ryce and everyone is starring at me. Turns out Hans LEFT the library. Haha! So then I walked across campus to his dorm and he wasn't there. So...here I am just chillin' with Ryce, I had NO idea what to do with her. I just ended up taking her home with me and we took a nap together and it was sooo cutie and fun. Hans finally got her back but it was fun/funny day!

My roommate snapped this photo of me and Ryce napping

Dad demanded that I put this up, so, because I value my dad's happiness more than I value my own life, here it is.

Everyone click on that link and read that talk. Because it is probably one of the best things I have ever read.

My list of things that make me quirky and high maintenance

Okay, Dan "tagged" me and challenged me to list six of my quirks. So here goes...

1. If I'm going to take a nap, I have to have at least two and a half hours to sleep with nothing planned immediately after, otherwise I just stress the whole time and that gets me nowhere!

2. To sleep I have to have all of the following: My bedroom, bathroom, and closet doors shut, my feet moisturized, and my ceiling fan on.

3. When I'm typing a paper I push "ctrl s" to save my paper probably about 20 times a minute (no exaggeration) or at least after every new sentence I type.

4. I absolutely HATE touching towels when my hands are really pruny. I'd rather sit and freeze until I'm dry than touch a towel. Ew.

5. When I get mail, I never open it right then and there. I always wait about 10 minutes to read my letters and even then my reading is very slow and deliberate.

6. It really bothers me when people touch my face, especially my eyebrows. I know it's totally weird.

So there you go, there are six strange things that I do. All of my blog friends have already been tagged so........yeah!

The Bowling Challenge

My friday night was spent throwing down some mad bowling skills at the REX center. My competitors didn't even know what was coming when I picked my choice 8 pound pink bowling ball. But they knew it was all over when I laced up my shoes and started stretching. Oh did they ever....

But in all reality, Nancy was the main trash talker. She could really make those bowling pins scatter! Her and Greg creamed the other two teams, but my team came in second place, thank you very much! Greg made a poster advertising for this bowling competition and it made me really motivated to come. You've got to read it for yourself:

All in all it was a fun night, and worth the 1..or 2...dates I turned down : )
(Mom, just take a deep breath...it really was worth it.)

Pictures: Greg thought he was pretty funny and took one shoe from everyone and hid them...and then made us play "Bullah bullah" to find them. And here are my teammates...coming in at a close (ish) second!!

Oh and ps my first soccer game is tomorrow. So...Go Vikings!!!
